Lemon Mist Pound Cake

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter-flavored shortening
6 eggs
2 cups self-rising flour
2 teaspoons lemon extract

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Gradually add flour. Stir in lemon extract. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan, and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
