Frosting Recipes



 

Classic 7-Minute Frosting

2 large egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon white corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

In a double boiler over simmering water, beat egg whites with electric mixer until frothy; add remaining ingredients, and continue beating until soft peaks form - about 7 minutes.

Remove top of double boiler from heat. Beat about 5 more minutes, until stiff peaks form.
