Chili Marinated Beef Steaks with Cilantro Cream
4 beef eye round steaks, cut 3/4 inch thick
2/3 cup Italian dressing
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 cup sour cream
Combine dressing, 2 tablespoons cilantro and chili powder in small bowl.
Combine sour
cream, remaining cilantro and 1 tablespoon dressing mixture in another small bowl,
season with salt if desired. Cover and refrigerate second bowl until ready to
serve.
Place beef steaks and dressing mixture in plastic bag, turn steaks to coat.
Close bag and marinate in refrigerator 6 hours or overnight, turning
occasionally.
Removes steaks from marinade, discard marinade. Place steaks on grid on outdoor
grill. Grill uncovered 19 minutes over medium heat on gas grill, covered 12 minutes,
turning occasionally until desired doneness. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
Carve steaks into thin slices, season with salt and pepper as desired. Serve
with cilantro sour cream mixture.
Makes 4 servings.
