Beef Recipes S-Z
Standing Rib Roast
1 standing rib roast, at room temperature
Garlic powder or ground thyme, to taste
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Heat oven to 550 degrees F. Place roast beef fat side up in a shallow roasting
pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder or thyme, salt and pepper. Place in ov en and
immediately reduce heat to 350 degrees F. Roast for 18 to 20 minutes per pound
for a medium-rare roast.
