Buttery Shrimp Pasta

1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
1 stick (1/2 cup butter)
1 1/2 cups dry white wine
2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 teaspoon dried basil

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.

In a large saucepan or skillet over medium heat, melt butter, then add white wine, shrimp and basil. Cook until shrimp are pink, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve over pasta.

Serves 6 to 8.
