Savory Sauce & Gravy Recipes



 

Aromatic Beef Gravy

1 cup au just from roast
1 1/4 cups hot water
2 1/2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet or other
    browning sauce

Heat au jus. In a pint jar, shake hot water and flour until smooth, then slowly pour, while stirring, into hot au jus. Lower heat and add bouillon, Kitchen Bouquet and salt and pepper to taste. Add more shaken warm flour-water or plain hot water to chicken or thin.

This is wonderful served over rice.
