Tipsy Sweet Potatoes

4 large sweet potatoes
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
1/2 cup Jack Daniels whiskey

Boil 4 large sweet potatoes until tender. Peel and cut into chunks. Add and mash all together remaining ingredients. Pour in casserole dish; top with pecan halves and bake in 350 degree F oven, about 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
