Snack Recipes D-L
Dry Roasted Pecans
1 quart water
1 teaspoon salt
1 pound pecans
Salt, to taste
Heat oven to 275 degrees F.
In a large container, combine water and 1 teaspoon salt; bring to a boil. Add
pecans, turn off heat, and stir 3 to 4 minutes. Drain in a colander. Place damp
pecans in a roasting pan and salt liberally. Bake 10 minutes, then salt to
taste. Continue baking 35 to 50 minutes longer, shaking pan every 10 to 15
minutes. Pecans should be completely dry when done.
