Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Place fried chicken in a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot with your choice of pasta or salad.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh basil on top before serving.
