Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
Add egg and vanilla extract; beat well.
Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown around edges but still soft in center.
Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
