Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes, then set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
Add steamed broccoli and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
Notes
This recipe can be customized by adding grilled chicken or substituting broccoli with asparagus.
