Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion and carrots to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to eliminate raw taste.
Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring continuously, and cook until mixture thickens.
Add peas, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
Transfer beef mixture to a baking dish and cover with pie crust.
Cut slits in the crust to allow steam to escape. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
