Preparation Steps
Bake the pie crust according to package directions and let it cool completely.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together cocoa powder and gradually add it to the mixture along with vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled pie crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For extra decoration, top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate before serving.
