Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring continuously until it comes to a boil.
Continue boiling for 3 minutes without stirring, then pour the caramel evenly over the crackers.
Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Allow them to melt for a couple of minutes.
Spread the melted chocolate evenly across the surface using a spatula.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
Serve these candy bars cold or at room temperature for a delightful treat. Add a pinch of sea salt on top for extra flavor!
