Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add ground beef, cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
Pour in red wine (if using), simmer until reduced by half.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 45 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Serve sauce over cooked pasta or your choice of noodles.
Notes
You can garnish with fresh basil or grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
