Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add beef cubes and brown on all sides, about 7-10 minutes.
Stir in garlic, paprika, and tomato paste, cook for 2 minutes to release flavors.
Pour in beef broth, add sliced bell pepper, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 1.5 hours until beef is tender.
Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
Notes
For best flavor, prepare the goulash a day ahead and reheat before serving. Serve with crusty bread or egg noodles.
