Use your favorite type, like whole wheat or sourdough.

cheddar cheese
Shredded or sliced is fine.

tbsp
butter
Softened for easy spreading.

tomatoes
Chopped or sliced in medium pieces.
Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place slices in the skillet, buttered side down.
Add cheese on top of the bread, then cover with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
Once both sides are toasted and cheese is melted, remove from skillet.
Serve warm with fresh tomatoes on the side.
Notes
Try adding fresh basil or a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra flavor!
