Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
In a food processor, combine basil leaves, toasted pine nuts, garlic, and parmesan cheese. Pulse until finely chopped.
While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to blend until smooth.
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the pesto. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve warm, garnished with additional parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a twist, add cherry tomatoes or grilled chicken. Delicious served cold as a pasta salad!
