Instructions
Preparation Steps
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add tomato sauce to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to combine evenly.
Stir in chopped fresh basil, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a splash of red wine to the tomato sauce while simmering.
