Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped jalapenos until evenly distributed.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a milder version, remove seeds from jalapenos completely. Serve warm with butter for best flavor.
