Instructions
Preparation Steps
Grease a baking sheet and set aside.
In a heavy saucepan, mix together sugar, corn syrup, and salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Once boiling, insert a candy thermometer and stop stirring. Cook until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanuts, butter, baking soda, and ground jalapeños.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
Allow cooling completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container. Great as a party treat! Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
