Instructions
Preparation Steps
Pop the popcorn kernels in an air popper or on the stovetop. Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, salt, and bring to a boil.
Let it boil for 4-5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn. Fold gently to coat evenly.
Add the chopped pecans and mix again.
Spread the coated popcorn onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 250°F for 20 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool completely before serving.
